HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, is one of the world’s most serious public health challenges. But there a global commitment to stopping new HIV infections and ensuring that everyone living with HIV has access to HIV treatment. UAE Health systems and Authorities are using data integration to identify effective approaches for finding and linking undiagnosed HIV-positive patients for treatment. Also reach out for HIV-negative people for prevention and containing the disease. There have been efforts to improve and work hard on case-finding activities by offering HIV testing for everyone by the public health department. Screening for HIV in many locations and feeding data and reporting in the unified Abu Dhabi Department of health have Achieved a lot of progress in tracing the infected patient and direct them to the right clinics that take care of treatments and caring. On the World AIDS Day, WHO encourages the global community to redouble efforts to find the remaining people living with HIV who are not yet aware of their status, get them on treatment, and help them to become virally suppressed and stop transmission. In this seminar we will go over global update status of HIV infection and UAE efforts to collaborate with the international society to prolong life of those who are already infected and help them to lead a healthy life.
